Pre-season netball is upon us.

 United A went down to Allenton A 27-17. Hampstead B also started the pre-season well with a 30-13 win over United B. It was Rakaia A however that had the biggest win with a 38-8 hammering of Southern A.

 The new initiative is designed to offer a competitive pre-season competition for the top netball teams vying for premier and senior competitions.

 The netball season begins on Saturday 17 April with the first of three grading days before the competition proper starts on May 8.
